Third Ward Luxury Apartments

The former Otto L. Kuehn Tobacco Warehouse is now Atelier Third Ward, 31 modern loft apartments in Milwaukee’s Third Ward. Engberg Anderson created luxury units within the historic building. We incorporated numerous elements, including exposed brick and concrete floors into the new units.  A rooftop addition with 4 new penthouse units has decks that overlook the Third Ward and offer views of Lake Michigan. The ground floor that once had windows boarded up now features two vibrant tenants, Orange Theory and Club Pilates, in the 6,000 sf of commercial space. Engberg Anderson worked carefully with the Atelier team on the final details throughout to respect the historic building while creating luxurious modern residences.

Financed through a combination of Historic Tax Credits and conventional bank debt, Atelier Third Ward adds new living spaces to the downtown neighborhood.
