In 2009, Baptist Health Corbin added a new critical care unit & surgery addition, which gave a clear distinction between inpatient and outpatient surgery departments. The first-level consists of four new outpatient operating rooms with twelve prep/recovery bays and new support spaces. A 1,000 sf remodel of the inpatient operating rooms updates them up to today’s standards. The second-level is a 7,500 sf critical care unit addition with ten beds.
