Junior House Lofts

Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Riverside Printing, originally built in 1913, was converted into the Junior House Lofts. In the transitioning Fifth Ward neighborhood, the adaptive-reuse project provides a modern and industrial living environment with exposed ceiling systems and raw warehouse walls. The building houses fifty units some of which have one, two or three bedrooms. There are a few split level units provide residents a high-end loft living space.

The project received Historic Designation from the U.S. National Parks Service and Historic Tax Credits through the same organization. In addition, the project has been partially funded through HUD (U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development) financing.
