This former Walker Manufacturing site will be home to a new lakefront development in Racine, @North Beach. This first phase of the multi-building development will feature 247 market-rate units. The 9.5-acre site, just north of the Pugh Marina, will offer a new gateway to the lakefront. The plan includes two buildings in phase one. First is a five-story apartment building and the second is a seven-story, L-shape apartment building, both with contained parking, commercial, street-level walk-up units. The nautical design elements stem from the site and its proximity to the Racine lakefront, embracing traditional whites, blues, wood tones, and neutral colors.  Each of the apartments will have either a balcony or walk-out patio, and both buildings will have a restaurant. Additionally, the seven-story apartment building will have an outdoor pool and tanning deck.
