Pabst Brewery

Building 23

Milwaukee, Wisconsin

An iconic church on the historical Pabst Brewery complex in downtown Milwaukee is now home to a two-story craft brewery and restaurant. Tax credits were used as an incentive to restore the 1872 cream city brick and limestone structure back to its former glory.

A small-batch brewery will reside on the ground level, while the original second floor sanctuary is being converted to a beer hall-style bar and restaurant featuring three copper-wrapped serving tanks as a backdrop to the main bar. To the rear of the building, an outdoor beer garden will expand customer capacity during the warmer months of the year.
