Elm Grove approves money for $98M Sisters of Notre Dame redevelopment

Elm Grove officials approved a $23.3 million village spending plan to support a $98.1 million redevelopment at the School Sisters of Notre Dame campus, giving developer Mandel Group Inc. the final major approval needed to work toward a possible fourth-quarter construction start.

A tax incremental financing district approved by the Village Board on March 28 would help the Milwaukee developer restore two buildings on the 28-acre former convent and build three new ones. That would create 237 new apartments on the property at 13105 Watertown Plank Road.
