With an aging facility and obsolete layout, Iowa County is ready to revitalize the Bloomfield Healthcare and Rehab Center. Currently a 60-bed Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), the County plans to create private rooms for all residents, along with an addition of a 24-bed Community-Based Retirement Facility (CBRF). Future plans include the expansion of existing physical therapy and meal services for residents of the surrounding communities.
Because the hospital-like layout does not support Bloomfield’s preferred household model of service, Engberg Anderson is exploring cost-effective options that meet the County’s goals, while providing a safe, comfortable and functional home for its residents.
