Dr. Howard Fuller Collegiate Academy – Middle School Expansion

In tandem with the development of the Dr. Howard Fuller Collegiate Academy High school project, Engberg Anderson was called upon to provide assistance in transforming the former High school facility into a new home for a growing and expanding Middle school program for HFCA. At the heart of the design was the desire to provide the incoming student population with a much needed gymnasium, locker room facilities and a concessions area along with a second state of the art recording studio, similar to the one located in the newly designed High school. Additional selective renovation work was designated to be performed by the board and included a full remodel of the existing restrooms, the addition of a new secure vestibule entry condition, painting the exterior metal panels and exposed steel structure, addition of bike racks, the resurfacing of the existing parking lot and new vibrant landscape.
