Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts
The Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts is a new 43,000 sf multi-purpose fine arts performance and education space that includes a 600-seat performance hall, music and art classrooms, two dance studios, rehearsal hall, support spaces, central foyer, and conference rooms. Located in a rapidly growing western suburb of Milwaukee, the facility provides outreach opportunities for user groups including the Milwaukee Ballet, Milwaukee Art Museum, Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, and Elmbrook Public Schools.
In addition, Engberg Anderson designed a park pavilion with support space for the Wilson Center’s outdoor performance areas. The pavilion provides conference and reception areas that work in tandem with the Wilson Center to meet a variety of community and cultural needs. The building and site design incorporate the work of four artists who collaborated with the architecture and interior design team.
