Cedarburg Public Library
Over the past decade we’ve worked with Cedarburg Public Library to develop the best options for meeting the community’s library needs. After evaluating multiple sites and concept designs, the City selected the site of a former police station adjacent to the existing library building and one block from the vibrant downtown shopping district.
The new two-story 22,500 sf library includes a Town Square gathering space, a spacious lobby, a community room, children’s area and lounge on the first level. The Adult Services area on the upper level is filled with natural light and offers a variety of seating options, from the quiet periodicals to a boisterous teen zone. The library is technology rich with wi-fi throughout, self-checkout stations and twelve public access computers. Multiple study rooms are available for group work, one with media sharing equipment where multiple laptops can provide input to a large wall mounted monitor.
