Engberg Anderson Architects will be in attendance at this year’s Airports Going Green Conference in Chicago, Illinois. Led by Project Manager Debra Sider, a recent renovation at the General Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee, WI has begun to earn recognition for their sustainable baggage claim building. Among the many that submitted, only a few are being recognized.
At this year’s award luncheon held on Tuesday October 27th, the General Mitchell International Airport will receive an Airports Going Green Honorable Mention Award for the sustainable efforts taken in design, construction and operation of the new baggage claim.
The Airports Going Green Conference is the industry’s leading sustainability forum, bringing together aviation sustainability leaders, experts, and innovators from around the world. Session topics include airport, tenant, and stakeholder collaboration strategies; innovations in renewable energy and alternative fuels; waste and recycling initiatives; emerging technologies; and much more.
