After a complete renovation, the Barrington Area Library is ready to meet the needs of the community head-on. A new grand stair creates a beacon for the library which redefines the connection to the community. New collaborative spaces – like the smart rooms, media labs, maker space, business center, internet cafe, and reading commons – expand library service to the 21st century. A new Youth Services Department engages younger readers with interactive, museum-quality learning experiences, promotes active play, and offers a kid-friendly media lab.
