InterLace Boutique Apartments
The InterLace Boutique Apartments will open this summer, transforming from the former longtime Milwaukee tenant, Paintball Dave’s. Initially designed as the American Wholesale Grocery Co. warehouse, in 1925, InterLace will soon be seven boutique apartments with a ground floor commercial tenant.
Exposed wood timbers and brick walls of the warehouse became the focal point of the luxurious, high-end apartments. Additional windows and new balconies, that take cues from the industrial character of the original building, highlight the renovation. A penthouse addition creates 2-story units that boast large rooftop decks with panoramic views of the surrounding Third Ward. Large garage doors at the ground floor retail space set the stage for this previous dead zone to become an active sidewalk café.
