EA and Enteros Design teamed for the programming, design, and construction of two branch libraries for Roanoke City Libraries. The Melrose Branch Library is the conversion of 12,000 sf of a warehouse within a Goodwill Jobs Center into a branch library. The partnership between the Roanoke City Libraries and Goodwill provides coordinated services for the surrounding neighborhood. Both libraries provide active learning opportunities for learners of all ages; from pre-literacy interactives for toddlers to teen gaming areas, innovation labs to business centers. Engberg Anderson provided programming for both libraries, provided library-focused space planning and furnishings selection.
