Poplar Hall

Poplar Hall is a 10,000 sf contemporary multi-use event center and concert venue located along the Fox River. The building acts as a connector between the adjacent Riverheath multi-family housing development to the south and Marriot Hotel to the north. The driving aesthetic is the sensitive balance between warm wood expressed in the exposed glulam columns, beams, and tongue and groove wood decking contrasted with subdued concrete and steel accents. Expansive two-story glazing and a glass panel overhead door along the Fox River provide uninterrupted views of the river and the natural environment beyond, blurring the experience between interior and exterior space. The double-height event space comfortably accommodates 180 reception guests, 400+ concertgoers and boasts a state-of-the-art audio/video system, environmental projection, and color-changing house lighting throughout to create immersive environments that complement event themes of all types. The event space is accompanied by a series of accessory spaces; fixed platform within event space, wrap-around mezzanine pre-function space with fireplace, two bars, coat room, warming kitchen, and green room.
