The staff and board of the Lemont Public Library are interested in developing a strategic facilities plan that will provide framework for physical improvements to the library building. These improvements will be paired with capital repairs to the facility identified in previous studies.
Among other targeted goals for this study, the facilities improvements at the library are intended to support the library’s efforts to enhance patron experience,
from arrival at the site through various entry zones and then a series of age- or use- specific zones. In addition to improving the library’s utility there is a desire to
update the overall ambiance and define the library as a “destination.”
