The University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire New Residence Hall provides housing for 432 students in a semi-suite style arrangement. Building amenities include social and study lounges, a fitness room, laundry, music practice rooms, collaborative study rooms, recreation, game, and media rooms.
The housing master plan is the culmination of the major planning steps necessary to initiate the first project of several residence hall projects on the UW-Eau Claire campus. The planning effort assessed parking and provided a report detailing several options including surface, underground and structured parking. Buildings identified in the master plan for possible decommissioning were assessed for continued operation as residence halls and a detailed condition assessment report generated. A complete program that identified required uses, quantities and qualities of the various spaces was developed and tested against the budget.
